About the Role

The Manufacturing Administrator is primarily responsible for issuing Shop Floor Packets to the Packaging Hall, completing work order component issues and reconciliations, monitoring manufacturing variances, and investigating discrepancies with the Filling and Warehouse teams.

Working closely with Packaging, Planning, Procurement, Inventory, Quality, and Warehouse teams, you will help ensure production activities are accurately transacted, inventory is effectively managed, and operational issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Your Key Accountabilities

• Prepare Shop Floor Packets (SFPs) using JDE and supporting systems.


• Issue hard copy SFPs to the Packaging Hall.


• Coordinate effective and efficient movement of documentation to ensure timely work order closure.

• Execute work order completions, including dry goods allocations, wastage inclusions, end-of-lot inventory allocations, and associated investigations.


• Monitor work order variances against agreed scrap rates and investigate discrepancies with Filling and Warehouse teams.


• Escalate out-of-tolerance waste levels to the Purchasing Supervisor.


• Attend daily Operations meetings, action work order-related changes, and provide updates on activities as required.

• Work collaboratively with Procurement and Supply Network Planning (SNP) teams on the operational and strategic management of dry goods inventory.


• Support stocktakes and stock adjustments in partnership with the Inventory Team.


• Process inventory adjustments following stakeholder approval.


• Work closely with Quality to investigate issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.


• Partner with Planning to mitigate service risks through timely and accurate work order execution.

• Maintain SNP housekeeping reports and track performance through team registers.


• Investigate data integrity issues and inventory discrepancies, identifying corrective and preventative actions.


• Process stock movements for internal dry goods movements, sparkling menus, and work-in-progress inventory requirements.

Your Knowledge and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in an administrative, planning, purchasing, inventory, or manufacturing support role within an FMCG environment (desirable).


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.


• A professional approach, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and ownership.


• The ability to work independently and take initiative.


• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally across all levels of the organisation.


• Experience with ERP systems, particularly JDE, will be highly regarded.
