As a result of organic growth and expansion, they have a newly created role for a Manufacturing Facilities Manager to join their growing team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be responsible for… 

• Recruiting and raising the available skill level in the plant.
  


• Identifying productivity gains and implementation.
  


• Identifying machinery upgrade opportunities to improve productivity and safety.
  


• Ensuring that workstations are operating at maximum efficiency.
  


• Leaning manufacturing processes and 5S principles are maintained.
  


• Working with the National WHS Coordinator to ensure that safety standards remain high, while maintaining full safety compliance at all times.
  


• Developing and implementing best practice operating procedures.
  


• Utilizing knowledge of manufacturing machinery and equipment and ensuring that maintenance schedules are met.
  

What the company needs…

Prior experience in the timber manufacturing industry or a related field is highly beneficial, as well as being self-motivated and having a goal-oriented attitude to work as a team and achieve optimal productivity. Further skill sets desired by the company include:

• Prior experience in identifying and implementing productivity improvements in a manufacturing environment
  


• Prior experience working with timber and nail guns.
  


• Have a hands-on approach to leading a team.
  


• This task requires the employment of knowledgeable individuals who can establish standard operating procedures.
  


• Be pleasant with staff and provide motivation to encourage employees.
  


• Flexibility to work across various shifts (an advantage)
