Join our team as a Marine Foreshore Adviser
Are you passionate about coastal and marine infrastructure and delivering high-quality maintenance and project outcomes? Do you enjoy working across both operational and advisory spaces, managing foreshore assets and resolving issues? If so, we invite you to apply for the Marine Foreshore Adviser position within Marine Infrastructure Asset Management at Redland City Council!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of existing capital works projects within the marine foreshore space.
- Overseeing project budgets and monitoring works in progress to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Responding to and managing issues that arise across the foreshore and coastal environment.
- Coordinating and obtaining specialist planning, environmental or technical advice as required.
- Assessing and supporting appropriate remediation, maintenance and improvement works.
- Managing project conditions, including environmental and planning requirements.
- Using asset and work management systems (such as Assetic) to track, report and manage works and defects.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors and external parties to achieve project outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety and environmental standards.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and positive stakeholder relationships.
Skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery and coordination of maintenance or infrastructure works, ideally within civil, coastal or marine environments.
- Knowledge of foreshore, coastal or marine infrastructure, including maintenance and remediation considerations (highly desirable).
- Experience working with asset or work management systems (such as Assetic) or similar.
- Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety and environmental requirements in an operational or project environment.
- Ability to interpret technical information and coordinate specialist advice to inform decision-making.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in local government or a similar environment is desirable
