The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead our Marketing Team across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for shaping and executing marketing strategies that drive market share, profitability, brand strength, and long-term business growth.

While this role provides strategic leadership across the marketing function, it is also highly hands-on. As part of a lean and agile team, you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves, lead by example, and actively contribute to the delivery of key initiatives alongside your team.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop a high-performing Marketing Team through coaching, mentoring, and performance leadership.


• Lead the development and execution of Ambu's ANZ marketing strategy to drive sustainable growth and market leadership.


• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, develop business cases, and support expansion initiatives across existing and emerging markets.


• Oversee the successful launch and lifecycle management of products and services across the portfolio.


• Use market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor analysis to strengthen Ambu's market positioning and competitive advantage.


• Partner closely with Sales, Contracts, Finance and other business functions to align commercial priorities and maximise performance.


• Support revenue growth through strategic product promotion, market research, customer engagement, and sales enablement activities.


• Drive marketing excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the function.


• Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, distributors, and internal stakeholders.


• Champion Ambu's culture, values, quality standards, and compliance requirements across the team.

What you'll bring

This role will suit an accomplished marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on, results-oriented approach. You'll be confident influencing stakeholders, leading change, and translating market insights into commercial outcomes.

You'll also have:

• 5+ years' marketing experience in healthcare, medical devices or related sector


• Strong leadership and people development capability


• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or similar


• Proven success developing growth strategies


• Commercial acumen and strategic mindset


• Excellent communication and influencing skills


• Strong stakeholder management capabilities


• Experience with CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce


• Ability to balance strategy and execution


• Collaborative, customer-focused and results-driven
