Mechanic

Meka Recruitment are currently working with one of Queenslands most reputable and realiable automotive repair shops. Our client prides themselves on their dedication to servicing their clients and due to an increase in workload they are looking to add a Mechanic to their team.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Assemble machines or mechanical components based on specifications
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc., and conduct diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues
• Carry out repairs to ensure optimal reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve reported problems promptly
• Perform comprehensive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
• Clean and lubricate machinery components
• Refill fluids and components in engines and machinery
• Offer guidance on proper maintenance and preventive measures to machine or vehicle users
• Full fill other assigned tasks such as repairing hydraulic systems or painting vehicles
• Maintain work logs and report any issues

The ideal candidate will:

• Be fully Qualified and have completed an apprenticeship.
• Have experience in a similar role.
• Have excellent communication skills as you will be working close with customers
• Be able to work as a part of a team and individually
• Be able to train and work with an apprentice
