Job Description - Mechanical Fitter

Maxwell Recruitment currently has a great opportunity for a Trade Qualified Fitters for a workshop-based role in Lake Macquarie, this is a casual project with several future projects planned including a shutdown in January with 12 hour day and night shifts.

The work primarily involves underground mining rebuilds, working on a variety of development and longwall equipment, looking for an immediate start for trade-qualified fitters.

The Benefits:

Excellent pay rates over $58/hr plus full penalties

Shutdown in January; 12 hour shifts day/night

Afternoon shift available paying over $66/hr

Lake Macquarie and Beresfield based workshops

Opportunity to join a growing business

Typical component rebuilds in the workshop include:

Shuttle Cars

Continuous Miners

Feeder Breakers

Multi Bolters

Longwall

The Requirements:

Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters

Experience in overhaul and assembly of heavy equipment is desirable

Basic Hydraulics experience is desirable

Safety-focused and having a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Fitters of any background or strong mechanical TAs are encouraged to apply.
