About the role

Maroondah Hospital Medical Imaging is a friendly, patient-focused department providing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services in Melbourne's outer east.

Opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Medical Imaging Technologist to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. The busy department encourages continuous learning and development while providing our patients with exceptional care and imaging expertise. The successful applicant will have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment in a supportive team environment. The position classification will be Grade 1 or 2 depending on experience, with new or soon-to-be new graduates encouraged to apply. This role includes participation in a full rotating roster including evenings and weekends, and nights and on-call duties depending on classification.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current registration with AHPRA and Victorian Radiation Use License


• Clinical experience commensurate with years


• Highly developed interpersonal skills


• A strong commitment to high quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
