Job Description - Microsoft End User Compute (EUC) Print Services Lead (Mid Level)

As a Print Services Lead, you will be responsible for the design, delivery, and operational leadership of secure enterprise print services across complex and regulated environments. You will lead the implementation of secure “follow me” printing, VDI integrated printing, and multi vendor print platforms, using Microsoft print technologies and third party print management solutions. You will act as the primary authority for print architecture, security, and operations, ensuring print services are reliable, compliant, and aligned to Zero Trust and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise print services for secure and regulated environments 

  • Architect and implement secure follow me / pull print solutions, including identity based release and auditing 


Deliver print services integration with VDI platforms, including: 

  • On premises or private cloud VDI platforms

  • Design and manage multi vendor print environments, supporting a mix of printer hardware and manufacturers 

Lead driver and print package management, including: 

  • Universal Print, vendor neutral, and vendor specific drivers

  • Packaging and deployment via MECM or equivalent tooling

  • Driver isolation, version control, and regression testing


Implement and operate print solutions using Microsoft and/or third party platforms, such as: 

  • Microsoft Universal Print

  • Secure cloud or on prem print management solutions (e.g. Pharos, PaperCut, Equitrac or equivalents)

  • Define and enforce print security controls, including authentication, authorisation, encryption, logging, and audit trails 

  • Ensure print services meet regulatory, compliance, and data handling requirements (e.g. government or highly regulated industries) 

  • Produce architecture designs, HLDs, LLDs, build guides, and operational runbooks 

  • Lead print service transitions from project delivery into managed services, including operational readiness and support models 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, running technical workshops and guiding print strategy and modernisation roadmaps

Skills and Experience

  • Strong expertise in secure follow me / pull print solutions and enterprise print architectures 

  • Proven experience integrating print services with VDI platforms (AVD, Windows 365, private cloud VDI) 

  • Microsoft print technologies (e.g. Universal Print, Intune, MECM)

  • Third party print management platforms in enterprise environments

  • Strong understanding of driver management, packaging, and deployment at scale 

  • Experience operating multi vendor print estates, including governance and lifecycle management 

  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with experience producing artefacts suitable for audit and compliance 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and engage with senior client stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience delivering enterprise print services or EUC infrastructure, with recent experience in regulated or secure environments

  • You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information system management or a related field.

  • Experience delivering in government, defence, or regulated environments (security clearance highly regarded)

  • You’ll need to be an Australian Citizen due to project and client requirements.

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in a secure location in Sydney or Melbourne.

In addition, your technical skillset likely includes: 

  • You are an experienced technologist and are comfortable working with a technical team with a track record of solution design & delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients, assessing their goals and objectives, with the ability to translate ideas into strategic and practical solution recommendations

  • Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking, as well as the capacity to accept out-of-the box solutions

  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
