The Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly autonomous, relationship-driven role at Bega Group, working closely with dairy farmers across South West Victoria and South East South Australia. As a Milk Supply Officer, you’ll work both in a team and autonomously, build long-term supplier partnerships, and ensure the sustainable sourcing of quality milk that protects the Bega brand.

Based primarily on the road and on-farm, this role suits someone who values independence, variety, and meaningful conversations. You’ll balance commercial outcomes with quality, sustainability, and compliance, supported by experienced leaders who trust you to manage your time and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and secure milk supply within your region to meet volume, quality and sustainability targets

• Build strong, trusted relationships with dairy farmers through regular on-farm engagement

• Support suppliers to meet milk quality, food safety and sustainability standards

• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in line with the Dairy Code and company requirements

• Represent Bega Group at industry events and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

• Experience working in milk supply, sourcing, procurement or the broader dairy/agriculture sector

• Confidence in building relationships and having balanced, respectful commercial conversations

• Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule and thrive in a field-based role

• Practical understanding of dairy farming operations, quality standards or sustainability practices

• Comfortable using systems and tools to manage reporting, forecasting and supplier information.
