Job Description - National Customer Solutions Manager

The National Customer Solutions Manager drives new customer acquisition and revenue growth by promoting Motion’s full range of Fluid Power solutions and executing strategic sales plans. This role identifies growth opportunities, delivers customer-focused value, and leads cross-functional efforts to position Motion as a premier solutions provider.

What kind of work may be involved?

  • Identify and target new customers through market research, lead generation, and prospecting activities.
  • Develop tailored sales strategies and value propositions aligned to customer needs.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline across Oil & Gas market segments.
  • Engage key decision-makers to establish trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and technical consultations across Motion’s full solutions portfolio.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms in alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
  • Track acquisition metrics and optimise strategies to improve performance and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding and consistent customer experience.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve financial targets through disciplined performance management.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and proactive risk management across all activities.

Ideal skills & experience:

  • Proven success in new business development within technical or industrial sales.
  • Strong strategic, consultative selling skills with experience closing profitable deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and manage multi-channel sales environments.
  • Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM-based sales analytics.
  • Skilled at building senior-level relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with strong market and competitive awareness.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI); willing to travel nationally.
