This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable transformation specialist to join a growing organisation undertaking a significant finance transformation. Operating across a complex, multi-entity environment, the business is investing heavily in process improvement, automation and scalability as it prepares for continued growth and acquisition activity.

You'll step into a highly visible position working closely with senior finance leadership to review current-state operations, design future-state processes and implement meaningful change across the Procure-to-Pay function. If you enjoy creating structure, improving efficiencies and delivering long-term business outcomes, this role will provide both challenge and impact.

Role Overview

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of reviewing and enhancing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes across multiple business units. Working across a variety of systems, stakeholders and operating models, you will assess current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, control and scalability.

This role will play a critical part in supporting the organisation's broader growth strategy. You will collaborate with finance and operational leaders to establish a future-state AP function, drive automation initiatives and help prepare the business for future expansion. Success will come from your ability to combine strong transformation experience with exceptional stakeholder engagement and change management capability.

Responsibilities

  • Review and map end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes across multiple business units

  • Assess current Accounts Payable workflows, controls and operating procedures

  • Identify process inefficiencies, manual workarounds and improvement opportunities

  • Design scalable AP processes and frameworks that support future growth

  • Develop future-state operating models and transformation roadmaps

  • Partner with finance leaders to deliver business-critical transformation initiatives

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement projects

  • Facilitate process-mapping workshops and stakeholder sessions

  • Establish consistent AP practices and governance frameworks

  • Make recommendations around operating models, controls and team structures

  • Support change management initiatives across the finance function

  • Assist with acquisition readiness and future integration planning

Candidate Profile

You are a seasoned AP, Shared Services or Finance Transformation professional with a proven track record delivering transformation initiatives within complex organisations. You understand how to analyse current-state operations, identify opportunities for improvement and implement scalable solutions that create lasting business value. Previous experience within multi-entity environments, transformation programs or shared services functions will be highly regarded.

Just as importantly, you possess exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can work effectively through ambiguity and are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders. You are capable of challenging existing ways of working while bringing teams on the journey and maintaining strong relationships. Exposure to AP automation projects, P2P transformation programs and businesses experiencing significant growth will be advantageous.

Company, Culture & Benefits

This organisation is investing heavily in building a best-practice finance function capable of supporting substantial future growth. With strong executive sponsorship and a clear transformation agenda, this role presents the opportunity to make a genuine impact while working alongside experienced finance leaders. The culture is collaborative, ambitious and focused on continuous improvement.

  • Lead a high-impact transformation project with executive visibility

  • Drive process improvement, automation and business-wide change initiatives
