Forklift Operator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse and dispatch operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing accuracy, efficiency, and safety. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in forklift operation and a commitment to excellence in warehouse operations.

We have AM / PM shifts available.

The site is based in Pinkinba

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, including counterbalance and high reach trucks, to transport, stack, and organize goods.


• Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring goods are handled with care and accuracy.


• Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation are completed.


• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and promptly report any equipment issues or safety concerns.


• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.


• Assist in general warehouse tasks as needed, such as inventory checks, organizing storage spaces, and cleaning up work areas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in forklift operation, including both counterbalance and high reach trucks (valid forklift license required).


• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and preparing goods for dispatch.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe workplace.


• Physically fit and capable of performing tasks that may involve lifting and moving heavy items.


• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is preferred.

Day-to-Day

• Start your day with a safety briefing and equipment inspection to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.


• Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and plan day-to-day operations.


• Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move goods to designated storage areas, and prepare shipments for dispatch.


• Conduct quality control checks to ensure orders are accurate and materials are in good condition.


• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet deadlines and ensure operational efficiency.


• Wrap up your day by updating inventory records, performing a final equipment check, and ensuring your workspace is clean and organized.
