About the role:

• Run major disputes: Work on complex, high-value construction disputes across NSW courts and tribunals, arbitration and Security of Payment adjudications.


• Get into the detail: Advise on claims involving delay, cost, quality, contractual risk and issues arising throughout project delivery.


• Be involved before disputes escalate: Support clients during procurement and construction, helping manage live claims and resolve issues as projects progress.


• Broaden your construction expertise: Build experience across advisory work and project documentation alongside a strong disputes-focused practice.


• Step up your responsibility: Work directly with experienced Partners on significant matters while also mentoring and supporting junior lawyers and paralegals.

The ideal candidate:

• Must be 5 – 8 years post admission experience as a lawyer.  


• Construction disputes experience gained within a well-regarded construction practice.


• Experience across NSW courts and tribunals, with exposure to Security of Payment adjudications.


• Strong drafting, written and verbal communication skills, with sound commercial judgement.


• A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to thrive in a busy, collaborative environment.


• A genuine interest in construction law and a willingness to share knowledge and mentor more junior team members.
