Senior Associate, Future Energy | Top-Tier Australian Law Firm | Sydney

• Acts for developers, investors, energy majors, and government across renewables, BESS, hydrogen, transmission, and emerging energy technologies

The role

• Advise on the development, procurement, and delivery of renewable energy and storage projects


• Draft and negotiate key project documents, including EPC, OEM supply, O&M, connection, and offtake agreements


• Work on transactions, sell-downs, and investments across the energy transition, including FID-stage projects


• Advise clients navigating government schemes such as the Capacity Investment Scheme and state-based tenders


• Collaborate with finance, corporate, and regulatory colleagues on complex, multi-disciplinary matters


• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, and build your own client relationships

What you'll bring

• Solid PQE in energy, projects, or infrastructure, ideally from a top-tier or international firm


• Hands-on experience with renewables or energy project work (BESS, hydrogen, or transmission highly regarded)


• A commercial, practical approach that clients trust


• Confidence running matters with minimal supervision


• Admission to practice in Australia
