Senior Payroll Officer

Osborne Park | Hybrid | $106,000 + super

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for your next challenge?

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join a team of four and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and compliant fortnightly payroll.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you’ll manage complex payroll matters, provide expert advice to employees and leaders, and contribute to improving our payroll systems and processes.

You will be responsible for:

  Leading the processing of two fortnightly payroll runs.

  
  


• 
  

  Managing complex payroll variations, leave audits, back payments and superannuation reconciliations.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, awards and enterprise agreements.

  
  


• 
  

  Responding to complex payroll queries and providing expert advice.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining payroll data integrity and completing statutory and regulatory reporting.

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting year-end payroll processes, including FBT and STP requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Contributing to payroll system improvements and process efficiencies.

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting the Payroll Manager and acting in the role during periods of absence.

  
  

We’re looking for someone with:

• 
  

  Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing.

  
  


• 
  

  In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, taxation and enterprise agreements.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with complex payroll reconciliations, leave audits and back-payment calculations.

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Dayforce is highly desirable.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with HRMIS/payroll systems and payroll process improvement will be highly regarded.
