The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with NDIS participants to improve their functional capacity, independence and overall wellbeing through evidence-based, goal-oriented interventions.
You will work across a variety of settings including home, community and supported accommodation, collaborating with participants, families, support workers and external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who values autonomy, flexibility and making a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions in line with NDIS goals
Complete functional capacity assessments, reports and recommendations for assistive technology and home modifications
Develop, implement and review person-centred therapy plans
Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation and reports
Provide education, strategies and support to participants and support workers
Ensure all services align with NDIS Practice Standards and LME Care policies
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications & Registration
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or related field)
Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Mental Health Occupational Therapy registration (highly valued)
Skills & Experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent written skills, including professional report writing
Ability to build rapport with participants from diverse backgrounds
Sound knowledge of the NDIS and community-based practice
A proactive, flexible and values-driven approach to work
Mandatory Requirements
Current AHPRA Registration
National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card – QLD)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Right to work in Australia
