About the role
Are you ready to add your keen rehabilitation skills and experience to a vibrant multidisciplinary team?
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join the friendly and supportive Occupational Therapy team at the Wantirna Health Community Rehabilitation Program, Eastern Health.
You will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing evidence based, goal directed rehabilitation to clients in their own home, in the therapy centre and in the community.
This permanent position will suit an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for rehabilitation and helping adults to achieve their goals, can work autonomously and also as a vital team member. Opportunities exist in various areas such as neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Falls and Balance.
The successful applicant will be supported within a strong supervision structure and will be encouraged to engage in professional development and journal clubs to support evidence-based practice.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Experience in the area of neurological rehabilitation
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
