Job Description - Occupational Therapy Clinical Manager




Multidisciplinary allied health clinic based in Melbourne’s outer south-eastern suburbs.are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist – Clinical Manager to join their team.







This role is being offered as a full time or part time position and is directly report to the Clinic Director. You will join our core management team who work closely together to inform our clinic direction and priorities.











The main focus of this role will be supporting your team, leading, mentoring and developing their team of around 20 allied health clinicians.















Specifically your role will include:







  • Supporting their vision and clinical direction. You will provide evidence based clinical supervision to your team of Occupational Therapists, as well as cross-disciplinary support to their broader team of speech pathologists, developmental educators, allied health assistants and support staff.

  • Supporting the wellbeing and clinical needs of their team, including staff and students.

  • Direct client work in your areas of interest

  • Working with the broader management team to refine the day to day practices within their clinic and contributing to service improvement.

  • Ensure ethical and legislative compliance requirements within team practices

  • Participate in quality improvement processes across the clinic

  • Further the direction of the organisation, continue to develop and lead their  team as they continue to grow.










Requirements



The successful candidate will have:







  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant clinical experience

  • Some experience in leadership roles and an interest in progressing into management

  • Strong clinical experience across the lifespan, with a focus on paediatrics.

  • Specialist knowledge of best practice within paediatrics

  • Understanding and respect for a strengths based approach and the neurodiversity paradigm.

  • Identifying education needs and providing clinical education to students and team

  • Providing support to other professionals including speech pathologists and educators.

  • Experience identifying education needs, conducting clinical assessments, and delivering training to undergraduates and post-graduates.

  • Working knowledge of the NDIS and Medicare

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage others in learning and development and cater for a number of learning styles.

  • Experience in quality improvement processes

  • Keen interest in the development of innovative clinical practices within Occupational Therapy services.

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • Working with Children’s Check

  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check

  • Own reliable car and Australian Drivers License
