Job Description - Office Manager/ Finance Controller

SEM Windows (ACT) Pty Ltd is a leading window and door supplier and installer in ACT. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Office Manager to join our dynamic team.

 

Start Date: ASAP or January

 

About the Role

As the Office Manager and Finance Controller, you will be a key contributor to our business, overseeing daily office operations and managing accounting functions, HR, safety, and administrative tasks. This role requires a professional with a strong accounting background who can maintain smooth office functions and ensure compliance across all aspects of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
  • Manage accounting functions, including financial records, budgets, and reporting.
  • Leading accounting team to manage general financial activities
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Implement and manage workplace safety procedures and compliance.
  • Support management by ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Improve office processes and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide support in managing staff schedules and workload.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle correspondence and documentation in both English and Chinese.

 

Key Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong accounting background with proficiency in financial management and reporting.
  • Experience in HR and workplace safety management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
