Why You’ll Love This Role:

Our Melbourne depot is a key metropolitan operation within Lindsay Transport’s network. As a leading transporter of fresh and refrigerated produce, we proudly support Australian farmers at every stage—from planting and packaging through to connecting their products with retailers and families via our extensive road, rail and logistics network.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Leading Hand to join our Melbourne warehouse. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll provide hands-on support to the team and help ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. This is an afternoon-shift position commencing at 12 pm, Monday to Friday.

What We Offer:

  • A gift to celebrate your service milestones.
  • Up to $1,500 for referring others to Lindsay.
  • 40% discount on Ringers Western merchandise.
  • 15% discount on Bridgestone Tyres.
  • Novated leasing options through our partner.
  • Financial support to complete training and obtain tickets.
  • Ongoing career development and transfer opportunities across our growing Australia-wide business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the day-to-day coordination of the warehouse floor, forklift drivers and on-site stock.
  • Coordinate the loading, unloading, handling and consolidation of perishable goods.
  • Ensure all timeslot requirements are met.
  • Complete paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to team members, lead by example and escalate operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain safe work practices across all warehouse operations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous warehouse experience, with exposure to leading, guiding or supporting a small team.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • A current and valid forklift licence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to guide team members and support daily workflow.
  • Experience loading and unloading freight, ideally including perishable goods.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility, resilience and the ability to adapt to ever-changing priorities.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Well-developed communication skills.

Equal Opportunity Employer:

The Lindsay Group is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
