Job Description

Helping Hands Narangba Valley is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent, part-time role (25 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday. 

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 8:30am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About Narangba Valley Helping Hands

Narangba Valley Helping Hands is a welcoming, community-focused Outside School Hours Care service committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children attending Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care programs.

We pride ourselves on creating a fun, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Our passionate and collaborative team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and the wider school community.

About the role

Co-managing a team of Educators, you'll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

If you have a passion for supporting children, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow. 
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example! 
  • A team player who inspires others and encourages growth. 
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. 
  • Australian work rights. 
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
  • A relevant qualification (or working towards it) as per ACECQA.
