Do you have a warm heart and a friendly ear, and enjoy slowing down over a cuppa and a meaningful chat?

Weâre looking for a friendly social volunteer to enjoy weekly one hour visits with a delightful lady who is a true history buff. She loves exploring family history, sharing stories from her travels, andâextra bonusâis a devoted dog lover.

Your visits could include thoughtful conversation, reminiscing about places near and far, sharing historical interests, or simply enjoying good company together.

If youâd enjoy meaningful chats, tail wagging enthusiasm, and helping make history someoneâs present-day joy, weâd love to hear from youâthis hour could become the highlight of both your weeks.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older â¢ National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare â¢

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
