As a Volunteer Pet Visitor, you and your furry (or feathered!) companion can bring comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles to HammondCare residents.

•  Brighten someone's day through the special connection that animals provide
  

Visits are relaxed, rewarding, and flexible. You may enjoy one-on-one visits with residents or join small group activities where your pet can be the star of the show! 

Whether you have a gentle dog, calm cat, or another suitable companion animal, your visits can make a meaningful difference to residents' wellbeing and quality of life. No special skills are required, just a caring nature and a pet that enjoys being around people.

• Location: HammondCare North Turramurra Specialised Dementia Residential Care 
  


• Weekend opportunities may also be available for volunteers with experience in dementia care.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
