Porter-The Langham, Melbourne

The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for Porters to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work with the Front Office Team which consists of approximately 60 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set to build a career within The Langham, should you be determined and dedicated.

This is an entry-level position suitable for applicants wanting to commence their career within the Hospitality / Tourism industry within a five-star luxury hotel environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ambassadors of the Langham Brand; taking initiative to offer exceptional customer service and a memorial experience

Greet all guests with a warm and welcoming smile

Assist guests entering and departing the hotel with luggage

Deliver luggage to, and collect luggage from guest rooms

Valet car parking

Familiarise the guests with the hotel rooms, facilities, amenities and services

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:

Have a strong work ethic

Be very efficient and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Proven organisational & time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Acceptable to shift work – morning/afternoon/night shifts rotating

Must hold a current full manual Australian driver's license (probationary driver licenses will not be accepted) or International Driver's Licence (manual)

This role requires colleagues to work in an active work environment, where manual handling tasks will be required.
