About the role 

An exciting opportunity to complete the Post Graduate Diploma of Nursing: Cardiac Care, in affiliation with La Trobe University. The successful applicants will have cardiac nursing experience, excellent communication skills and a motivation to continued professional development. 

Successful applicants will be supported with our well-established structured program and will develop the advanced clinical skills and knowledge required to care for complex cardiac patients. Applicants will work autonomously whilst being part of a supportive team 

Key responsibilities 

• Manage acute and life-threatening conditions in a dynamic environment


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, paramedics, and allied health staff


• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively


• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards


• Support patients and families with empathy, clarity, and professionalism


• Contribute to quality improvement, education, and professional development activities 

What we’re looking for 

• Registered Nurse with minimum of 2 years acute nursing experience


• Previous cardiac nursing experience is desirable


• Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm under pressure


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
