Practice Nurse

about the opportunity.

Talenting is building a pool of Practice Nurses for general practice clients across Perth. Roles are available on a full-time, part-time, casual or fixed-term contract basis. Depending on the role, you may be employed directly by the practice, or employed by Talenting and placed with the practice.

This role suits Registered Nurses with general practice or primary care experience who enjoy working with patients of all ages and are confident working independently within a busy clinic.

what you’ll do.

Working closely with the GPs, you will provide a range of nursing services, including:

·       Triage and support for GPs with assessment and treatment

·       Immunisations and other injections, including cold chain management

·       Wound care and dressings

·       ECGs, spirometry and pathology collection

·       Assisting with minor procedures

·       Health assessments, care plans and care coordination with allied health providers

·       Patient education, recalls and follow-up of test results

·       Treatment room management, infection control and stock ordering

·       Other practice duties as required, including occasional reception cover

Requirements

about you.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

·       Current, unrestricted Ahpra registration as a Registered Nurse

·       A current Immunisation Certificate and CPR certificate

·       Previous experience in general practice or primary care

·       Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach

·       The ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

·       Experience using clinical software and electronic medical records

Experience in chronic disease management, knowledge of general practice accreditation and a current driver's licence are also desirable.

·       $40 to $46 per hour for permanent roles, or $50 to $57 per hour for casual roles, plus superannuation

·       Daytime general practice hours, with no night shifts
