We're seeking a Principal Consultant to lead strategic data transformation engagements across enterprise organisations. This is a role for someone who can operate comfortably in the boardroom and the delivery room, helping clients shape vision, align stakeholders, establish operating models, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Consultant who can help us grow our team, create IP and lead complex transformation programs from strategy through execution.

This role combines advisory leadership, consulting expertise, and delivery oversight. You will work closely with executives, business leaders, and delivery teams to help organisations unlock value from data, analytics, and AI while building the capabilities required for long-term success.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate organisational change, operating model design, capability uplift, governance, prioritisation, and transformation delivery. While a strong background in data and technology is important, success in this role is driven by your ability to influence stakeholders, solve complex business problems, and lead meaningful change.

What You'll Do

• Partner with executive stakeholders to define transformation strategies, roadmaps, and investment priorities
• Lead complex consulting engagements across data, analytics, governance, and AI initiatives
• Design and implement operating models that improve delivery effectiveness, accountability, and organisational capability
• Facilitate alignment across business, technology, risk, and executive stakeholders
• Provide trusted advisory services to senior leaders navigating transformation, organisational change, and capability uplift
• Guide clients through prioritisation, governance, funding, and delivery decisions
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across strategy, architecture, engineering, governance, analytics, and change functions
• Translate complex business challenges into practical, executable solutions
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted long-term advisor
• Mentor and support consultants and delivery teams while contributing to capability development across the business
• Develop IP and collateral to support our growing practices
• Support business development, thought leadership, and growth initiatives across the Adelaide market

Examples of the work you may lead include:

• Enterprise data transformation programs
• Data operating model and organisational design initiatives
• Data governance and AI readiness programs
• Capability uplift and centre of excellence establishment
• Modern data platform and analytics transformations
• Data product operating model implementation

• 8-10+ years' experience in consulting, transformation delivery, or advisory leadership roles
• Proven experience leading complex enterprise transformation programs
• Strong understanding of data, analytics, governance, and AI ecosystems
• Experience designing operating models, governance structures, and organisational capability frameworks
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with experience working directly with executive leadership teams
• Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing capability
• Demonstrated experience managing ambiguity and creating clarity in complex environments
• Commercial acumen and a strong focus on delivering measurable business outcomes
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large-scale delivery engagements
• A collaborative leadership style focused on building capability and creating lasting impact

Nice to Have

• Experience within utilities, infrastructure, government, financial services, or other complex regulated industries
• Experience leading data platform modernisation or enterprise data capability programs
• Exposure to organisational change management and transformation methodologies
• Experience working within consulting or professional services environments
