The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at Our Lady of Lourdes School based in Nollamara commencing 1 January 2027.

Our Lady of Lourdes School, Nollamara, is a Catholic co‑educational primary school offering a quality education for students from Pre‑Kindergarten to Year 6. Established in 1958 alongside the parish and named in honour of the centenary of the Lourdes apparition, the school continues to be shaped by its motto “Honour is More Precious than Gold” and the core values of Belief, Harmony and Responsibility.

The school is committed to integrating faith, life and culture, with Religious Education and Sacramental Programmes central to students’ spiritual formation. A safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment underpins all aspects of school life, with strong partnerships between families, the parish, the School Advisory Council and the Parents and Friends Association.

• Capacity to build a strong professional learning culture, strengthening staff capability, early years practice and intervention approaches to promote inclusive, student-centred learning and engagement.

Community 

• Highly relational, approachable and visible leader who builds trust and fosters a welcoming, inclusive and culturally responsive school community, particularly for EAL/D families.


• Strong communicator who values voice and partnership, engaging staff, families and the parish in authentic collaboration and shared decision-making.

Stewardship

• Strategic and sustainable manager of resources, ensuring effective financial stewardship, responsible use of staffing and support structures, and delivery of key school priorities and projects.


• Leader who cultivates a collaborative and supportive professional culture, promoting staff wellbeing, shared leadership, professional growth and transparent decision-making.

Selection Criteria:

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.


• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.


• A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system. 


• A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.


• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).


• Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
