Production Team Leader - Afternoon Shift

The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Team Leader to join the Production team based in Novar Gardens, SA. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

In this hands-on, salaried role, you’ll support the Operations Supervisor to coordinate daily production activities and provide day-to-day leadership to a small team. You’ll balance supporting and guiding others with actively contributing to operational work, helping the team deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.

This is a permanent afternoon-shift position working Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced operator ready to step into leadership or an existing Team Leader looking for a new hands-on opportunity.

What Will You Do?

Working closely with the Operations Supervisor, you will:

• coordinate daily workloads and activities across a small operations team
• work alongside your team and support daily production activities
• provide clear direction and practical support throughout the shift
• champion safe work practices and promptly address or escalate safety concerns
• monitor quality, productivity and operational performance
• support the training and development of team members
• identify opportunities to improve efficiency and ways of working
• provide day-to-day leadership when the Operations Supervisor is unavailable.
