Our client is a successful and rapidly expanding project services specialist, who work for some of the largest mining, resources, transport, industrial, and defence clientele globally.
This newly created Project Accountant role will be responsible for assisting in the production accurate and timely management accounts, budgets and business analysis, project cost controlling, and project accounting.
The position will collaborate closely with operations leaders in providing financial insights critical to decision-making, whilst play a key role in uplifting finance function and business systems capabilities.

Responsibilities will include: - Assist in month end close process (P&L and balance sheet, including reconciling GL, journals, and intercompany transactions).
- Assist in monthly management reports, including analysis and commentary on business performance.
- Business partner with Project Managers and operations teams (site based), analysing key performance indicators and monitoring project costs against contract requirements
- Assisting with delivering the annual budget and ongoing forecasting (monthly/quarterly/annually).
- Identify and implement initiatives to achieve alignment, standardisation and excellence in financial reporting and business analysis.
- Play a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system.
About You The successful candidate will have experience working as a part or recently qualified accountant with a keen interest in developing your finance career with an ambitious project specialist. You will be ambitious, driven by career opportunities, and show initiative and problem solving abilities.
