Job Description - Project Development Manager

The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Development Manager to join our ID - Commercial Delivery team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a full time basis.  

Reporting to the Head of Bid Management - Project Delivery you will play a key role in for managing and executing project development activities across gas and power infrastructure projects. This role collaborates with internal specialists and external partners to deliver technically and commercially feasible solutions, ensuring development activities progress on schedule, within budget, and in line with governance and policy requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions for customer-driven and internally generated projects. 

  • Compile accurate and timely strategic assessments of development challenges, including land, permitting, grid connections, schedules, procurement, and resource assessments. 

  • Maintain high-quality development plans and documentation, ensuring all information is current, comprehensive, and aligned with project objectives. 

  • Manage external consultants to support project development activities, ensuring clear direction and timely delivery. 

  • Establish and maintain streamlined workflows to enable teams to meet crucial milestones. 

  • Achievement of project development milestones on schedule and within budget. 

 

 

Your background  

 

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure project development, preferably within gas, power, or largescale industrial projects. 

  • Strong technical and commercial acumen, with the ability to work with SMEs to shape viable project solutions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex multidisciplinary development workstreams. 

  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem solving skills. 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capability. 

  • Ability to interpret and synthesise engineering, procurement, scheduling, and regulatory information.
