We are the home of Queensland's most recognisable radio voices. Our weekday coverage continues into the weekend with engaging shows, along with the exhilarating NRL coverage from the Continuous Call Team.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to join our Brisbane team. In this role, you will work in a rewarding, fast-moving environment alongside the best in the business. As part of a high-performance, vibrant, and forward-thinking team, you will act as the primary day-to-day contact for existing and new clients. Your core mission is to deliver exceptional customer service while working closely with the sales team to hit and exceed revenue targets for your direct and agency clients.

Tapt Media is Australia’s leading commercial talk radio network. With a focus on "Live and Local" content, we offer Australians and brands the intimacy and trust of radio, combined with the deep engagement and storytelling of podcasts and social.

Note on Ownership: Nine Radio is proud to have recently joined Tapt Media. While this recruitment process is being managed by Nine under a transition of services agreement, the successful candidate will be employed directly by Tapt Media.

Day to day you will:

  • Deliver and exceed your individual and team monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, while proactively working 3 months ahead to secure a minimum of 10% year-on-year revenue growth.
  • Act as the primary contact for key agency and direct clients, implementing robust retention strategies to ensure a minimum of 80% of customers are retained each quarter.
  • Conduct at least 8 face-to-face meetings weekly, run regular client WIPs, and present relevant insights, innovative solutions, and new Tapt Media product launches.
  • Pitch at least 5 proactive business ideas weekly, and construct targeted advertising schedules across all channels based on client briefs.
  • Oversee campaign administration, including bookings, securing advertising material on time, accommodating concurrent campaigns, and delivering post-analysis reports.
  • Understand market trading conditions to negotiate casual business discounts with the Tapt Media Commerce team, and facilitate the sale of program sponsorships, sports sponsorships, and spot packages.


Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience working within a media or related sales environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a proven track record of meeting budgets and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present to large groups and build strong, lasting relationships.
  • The ability to construct excellent proposals, schedules, and proactive responses to client briefs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to solve problems and prioritise multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Autonomy & Collaboration: The ability to thrive both independently and as a collaborative, supportive member of a high-performing team.
  • Tech Literacy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and/or Gmail.
