Join Our Sales & Distribution Team


Sydney Harbour Marriott is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to provide administrative, sales and operational support to our Sales & Distribution team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys building client relationships, coordinating group business and ensuring exceptional guest experiences from enquiry through to post-event follow-up. 

About the Role

You will support group reservations, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and other group-related business. You will act as a key liaison between clients and hotel departments, helping to maximise revenue through effective coordination, upselling and outstanding customer service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate group bookings, room blocks and rooming lists.

  • Manage client enquiries and ensure responses within 24 hours.

  • Prepare contracts, confirmations, invoices, resumes and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

  • Support sales activities to achieve hotel revenue targets.

  • Conduct site inspections for corporate clients, travel agents and event organisers.

  • Coordinate internal communications and VIP guest requirements.

  • Assist with forecasting, reporting and sales presentations.

  • Support the upselling of accommodation, meeting spaces and food & beverage offerings.

  • Maintain client databases, records and sales documentation.

  • Attend sales and group meetings and provide administrative support, including meeting minutes. 

About You

You are a motivated hospitality professional with:



  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • A customer-focused approach and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Revenue and sales awareness.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in hotel sales, reservations, events, front office or a related hospitality role.

  • Qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism or Business (preferred).

  • Experience with Marriott systems would be advantageous.
