Job Description - School Sport Finance Officer

  • Based in Arncliffe (Turrella) offering a flexible working environment

  • Salary ranges from $87,199 to $95,482 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading


 


About the role


The School Sport Finance Officer provides financial and administrative support for the School Sport Unit. This includes assisting with payroll, procurement, asset management and fleet vehicle administration to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance and continuous improvement across core business functions


 


Key accountabilities



  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports using MYOB to support timely decision-making.

  • Process payroll, procurement, assets and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.

  • Prepare management reports and financial insights to support business decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation, policies and governance requirements.

  • Monitor fleet vehicle usage and mileage to ensure compliance with policy.

  • Strong financial and administrative skills, with the ability to deliver accurate and timely outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume workloads.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.

  • Proactive approach to process improvement, compliance and delivering practical solutions.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.


 


Essential requirements of the role



  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.

  • Proven experience using MYOB Software.

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
