Join our team as a Senior Adviser Workplace Relations
Are you an experienced workplace relations professional who enjoys navigating complex people matters and providing trusted advice to senior leaders?
Redland City Council is seeking a Senior Adviser Workplace Relations to join our People and Culture team. In this role, you will provide expert industrial and employment relations advice across a diverse organisation, supporting leaders to manage complex workplace matters including performance management, misconduct and disciplinary processes.
This is a senior advisory role where you will lead complex workplace investigations, prepare clear and defensible advice for senior management, and represent Council’s interests in industrial proceedings where required. You will work closely with leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure matters are managed fairly, consistently and in accordance with legislative and industrial obligations.
You’ll be joining a collaborative Workplace Relations team that values professional judgement, evidence based decision making and practical solutions. The team works closely together to sense check complex matters and support each other through challenging cases. You will be comfortable working with a high degree of professional judgement and independence, ensuring investigations and advice are thorough, fair and defensible.
While investigations and complex employee matters form an important part of this role, we are equally focused on learning from these matters and improving organisational practice. The Workplace Relations team helps identify emerging themes, strengthen leadership capability and support positive workplace reform.
