Our client is a highly regarded independent corporate advisory firm with an established track record advising leading corporates, private equity sponsors and institutional investors.


The firm provides high-quality strategic and transaction advice across mergers and acquisitions and other complex corporate situations. Its senior-led, collaborative model gives team members meaningful exposure to clients and transactions, together with a clear opportunity to build their careers within a growing advisory platform.


The Opportunity


An opportunity is available for a Senior Associate or Vice President to join the Sydney team, with a focus on General Industrials and Financial Sponsors.


Working closely with senior bankers, the successful candidate will play a central role in originating and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions and strategic advisory mandates.


This is a hands-on position offering significant responsibility across the full transaction lifecycle, including:




  • Managing the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions




  • Preparing financial models, valuation analysis and transaction materials




  • Coordinating due diligence, transaction documentation and broader deal processes




  • Managing relationships with clients, private equity firms and other advisers




  • Supervising, reviewing and developing junior team members




  • Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage, idea generation and business development




  • Contributing to the continued growth of the General Industrials and Sponsors franchise




Candidate Profile


The successful candidate will ideally have:




  • Approximately five to eight years’ relevant experience within investment banking, corporate advisory or a leading Big Four corporate finance team




  • Strong M&A transaction experience, including involvement across the full deal process




  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities




  • Exposure to General Industrials, private equity sponsors or broader generalist coverage




  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of transaction execution




  • Strong communication, presentation and client-management skills




  • Experience supervising and mentoring analysts and associates




  • A collaborative, commercially minded and team-oriented approach
