L3Harris is looking for an FTI Cutover Engineer who will support Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs. This individual will be a key member of the Cutover team, working closely with the Service Activation Center (SAC), customers, and internal engineering teams. The Cutover Engineer will be responsible for initializing and troubleshooting new services, ensuring both physical and logical connectivity, and managing the service through cutover. This position provides customer-facing engagement, technical troubleshooting, and direction during service activations, including both IP and TDM services.
Job Description:
- Activation and configuration of service ports following completion of provisioning by the SAC team.
- End-to-end troubleshooting of new IP services, including physical connectivity, routing, ACLs, and other logical issues.
- Monitoring service readiness prior to cutover, validating operational status and addressing pre-cutover issues.
- Coordination and support for legacy TDM service cutovers, including Intraplex, DNX-11/88/1U, and related TDM networking platforms.
- Direct engagement with customers via phone/email to coordinate and execute service cutover windows.
- Live support during cutover events to ensure smooth transition and minimal downtime.
- Documentation of activation details, customer interactions, and issue resolutions per program standards.
- Collaboration with SAC, NOC, and Engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex activation issues.
- Ability to obtain A US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), ACLs, VLANs, and MPLS.
- Familiarity with TDM networking and platforms such as Intraplex and DNX-11/88/1U.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with service activations in carrier or enterprise environments.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills and ability to manage high-pressure cutover events.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- CCNA (or equivalent) certification preferred.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fujitsu, and RAD equipment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including customer-driven cutover windows.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and cross-team coordination.
