Your role


 


This role leads a Case Management Unit within a Correctional Centre or Cluster, supporting inmates through rehabilitation and intervention programs that help reduce reoffending. It is a great opportunity for a candidate to make a meaningful impact on community safety, lead a dedicated team, and drive positive rehabilitation outcomes while developing their leadership and stakeholder management skills.


 


What you’ll do


 


As part of the Correctional Centre team, you will lead the Case Management Unit (CMU) to deliver effective case management services that support inmate rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.


 


You will supervise and support Case Management Officers, coordinate caseload allocation and reviews, manage complex inmate cases, and facilitate case conferences. You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximise intervention opportunities and support successful reintegration outcomes.


 


You'll work with a committed team of correctional and case management professionals in a fast-paced custodial environment where collaboration, leadership, and sound decision-making are key to achieving positive outcomes for inmates and the community.


 


What we’re looking for



  • Superior skills in offender supervision and case management of complex clients.

  • Knowledge of, or experience in delivering, services and programs that support client rehabilitation and positive outcomes.

  • Understanding of contemporary correctional issues, priorities, and case management practices.

  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and analysing complex information, conducting risk and needs assessments, and developing high-quality case plans.

  • Proven ability to provide professional supervision, coaching, and development to new Case Management Officers during workplace training and probation periods.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with the ability to support teams in a dynamic operational environment.


 


Essential requirements



  • Current and valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within NSW.



  • Successful applicants are required to attend a four-week face to face training program at the Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy in Eastwood.
