Senior Child Protection Practitioner

Remuneration: $99-116k + Super

Do you have case management experience supporting children and families in either OOHC or Child Protection? Looking for an adventure in the Northern Territory? This role is available immediately, so don't hesitate and get in touch today! Based in Darwin this role covers a large part of the northern part of the Territory including the Tiwi Islands. You'll be expected to drive across country and fly in light aircrafts to get to the communities you're working with.
 
 
Role

In this role you will use your experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families to carry out necessary assessments of individual, family and community issues. You will use appropriate methods of intervention and provide provide comprehensive case management support to children, families and carers in foster care placements.  You will also help keep children connected to culture and where appropriate maintain a relationship with birth families.
 
Requirements

• Degree qualification in social work, psychology or relevant community welfare fields.
• Previous case management experience in a child protection/family support setting. 
• Skills in assessment of child protection, family and community dynamics
• Preparedness to travel in 4WD vehicles or light planes, as required, and ability to undertake travel including overnight stays as necessary.

 
Further info

In return, you will be offered a salary in the region of $99-116k + Super (inclusive of location allowances). Allowances for staying away when you are in communities is also on offer. Relocation costs are also available for candidates.
