The Opportunity
Are you passionate about creating more resilient, sustainable communities and driving meaningful climate action?
Join Moonee Valley City Council's Climate and Environment Resilience team in a strategic leadership role where you'll help shape the future of our city. As the Senior Climate Resilience Officer, you will lead the development and delivery of climate adaptation and mitigation projects, policies and programs that support Council's commitment to achieving net zero community emissions by 2040 and building a climate resilient city.
Working across the organisation and with government, industry and community partners, you'll provide expert advice on climate resilience, environmentally sustainable design (ESD), urban forest outcomes and climate risk, while leading projects that influence long-term strategic planning and city shaping initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Climate Resilience Strategy and Project Delivery
Lead the development and delivery of climate resilience projects and programs that contribute to Council's Corporate Strategy and climate objectives.
