Senior Consultant

Talenting is a Perth-based HR consultancy. We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join us: an experienced HR generalist who is as comfortable advising a client manager through an employee relations matter as running an executive recruitment or leading an organisational review.

The role

This is a generalist consulting role with real variety. You will carry your own client load and deliver across our three service lines:

• Outsourced HR advisory. Acting as the day-to-day HR partner for client organisations on performance, conduct, policy, and award and Fair Work Act compliance.
  


• Recruitment and selection. Running specialist and executive recruitment end to end, built on our sector networks and an evidence-based approach to selection.
  


• Projects and organisational development. Contributing to and leading organisational reviews, HR audits, policy reviews, risk assessments, and capability and performance work.
  

Alongside the client work, you will supervise and mentor our consultants and coordinators, review their work, and help develop their capability. You will also produce high-quality written advice and reports for executive and Board audiences.

Requirements

What you'll need

1. Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Law, Industrial Relations or related discipline
   


2. Demonstrated generalist HR experience across advisory, recruitment and project delivery, including day-to-day employee relations matters
   


3. Sound working knowledge of employment legislation across both the federal and Western Australian state industrial relations systems, with the ability to apply awards and legislation pragmatically across diverse organisational contexts
   


4. Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff, including task delegation, review of work and provision of structured feedback
   


5. Proven ability to independently manage client engagements, including scoping, stakeholder communication and delivery of defensible written advice
   


6. Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written reports and formal correspondence, suitable for executive or Board audiences
   


7. Experience working in a consultancy or advisory environment, including monitoring project scope, timeframes and budgets (desirable).
