About the role
We are looking for a Senior Consultant with Full Stack Engineering experience in ASP.NET and Azure to join our delivery team and help our clients build and modernise customer -facing platforms at scale. This is a hands -on engineering role in a high -quality environment where clean code, strong patterns, thoughtful design and long -term outcomes genuinely matter.
You will work primarily on the backend - designing and building robust ASP.NET Core APIs and services on Microsoft Azure - with the opportunity to contribute to the front end if that interests you. There is a strong pipeline of greenfield initiatives and platform improvements ahead, and you will have the space and the backing to make good technical decisions. As a consultant, you will also bring clarity, collaboration and a client -first mindset to every engagement.
What you’ll be doing
• Designing and building high -quality backend APIs and services using ASP.NET Core and the .NET ecosystem
• Leading projects and epics from solution design through to delivery, on time and to a high standard
• Partnering with client tech leads, architects and senior engineers on solution and architecture design
• Mentoring engineers through code reviews and day -to -day collaboration, lifting the team around you
• Improving engineering practices, processes and standards across your engagements
• Contributing to architecture discussions and technology choices, and advising clients on trade -offs
• Communicating clearly with technical and non -technical stakeholders, and representing Mivada’s quality and care on -site
Tech environment
• .NET / ASP.NET Core — backend APIs, services and web applications
• Microsoft Azure — App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Service Bus / Event Grid, API Management, Key Vault, Azure SQL
• Svelte / SvelteKit / TypeScript for front -end work (as much or as little as you want)
• APIs, microservices, event -driven and distributed systems
• SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Domain -driven design, SOLID principles and TDD
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and Agile delivery
Requirements
• Strong, demonstrable experience building production backend systems in C# / ASP.NET Core
• Hands -on experience designing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure
• A track record of leading projects or epics from design through delivery
• Sound grasp of microservices, event -driven and distributed system patterns
• Comfort with DDD, SOLID, TDD and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Experience in mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills — you can advise, influence and bring people with you in a consulting setting
• A collaborative, low -ego approach — at Mivada, cultural fit matters as much as technical skill
• Front -end experience with Svelte/ Sveltekit / TypeScript is a nice -to -have, not a requirement
• Australian work rights and the ability to be on -site in Sydney two days per week
