Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect - Permanent - Perth 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and assuring secure, high-quality technology solutions across Western Power. In this permanent position, you will work closely external service providers in the development of both high-level and detailed technical designs, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, cyber security requirements, and Western Power's ICT standards.

Drawing on your deep expertise in application and infrastructure technologies, you will provide architectural leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle, offering ongoing guidance to internal teams, developers, and configuration specialists to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

Your Role in Action  

• Lead the design and assurance of secure, scalable cyber security solutions, translating business and technical requirements into robust architecture outcomes.


• Guide external service providers in the development of high-level and detailed solution designs, ensuring alignment with cyber security principles, business objectives, and ICT standards.


• Review and provide quality assurance for solution architectures, technical designs, and implementations to ensure security, compliance, and operational effectiveness.


• Provide architectural leadership and ongoing guidance to developers, engineers, and configuration specialists throughout the delivery lifecycle.


• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to solve complex cyber and technology challenges while balancing risk, budget, and business priorities.


• Monitor solution delivery against approved designs, proactively identifying risks, driving remediation activities, and escalating issues where required.


• Contribute to the development and evolution of Western Power's cyber security and enterprise architecture, helping to strengthen resilience, reduce risk, and support strategic business outcomes.


• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and security best practice, fostering a culture of collaboration, capability development, and operational excellence.

What Makes You a Great Fit 

• Proven experience designing and delivering cyber security architecture within large, complex enterprise environments with diverse applications, cloud services, and infrastructure platforms.


• Deep expertise in security architecture principles, frameworks, and design patterns, with the ability to balance security, risk, and business outcomes.


• Strong solution architecture capability, including translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and practical technology solutions.


• Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing external service providers to deliver high-quality architectural outcomes and complex technology initiatives.


• Broad understanding of technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and service delivery, with the ability to contribute to long-term technology and cyber security roadmaps.


• Commercially minded and customer focused, with strong stakeholder engagement skills, strategic thinking capability, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
