About the Role
This role partners with Motor Claims and Finance teams to improve financial performance across a large portfolio. You will own core BAU activities including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting. Working with complex datasets, you will turn data into clear insights that support business decisions. You will also contribute to process improvements and more efficient reporting across the function.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver month end and year end reporting, including journals, estimates, and performance commentary for the Motor Claims portfolio
- Analyse claims performance against budget and forecast, providing clear insights that support decision-making
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance and Claims to manage budgeting and forecasting cycles end to end, with variance analysis as required
- Build and enhance reporting using Power BI, focusing on clarity, automation, and usability
- Identify and implement process improvements to simplify reporting and reduce manual effort
- Working across large datasets, turning complex information into practical insights
- Collaborating across various functional teams and mentoring juniors within the team
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in finance roles within complex organisations, applying analysis to improve business outcomes
- Strong capability in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to manage timelines and stakeholders
- Advanced data skills, including experience working with large datasets and tools such as Power BI
- Understanding of general insurance or claims environments, with ability to interpret key drivers
- Ability to simplify reporting and communicate financial insights in a clear and practical way
- Degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, with a commitment to ongoing development
