About the role
In this role, you will lead the execution and oversight of key financial accounting processes, controls and quality assurance activities, supporting accurate and effective financial reporting across the Department.
You will play a key role in strengthening financial governance and controls, working collaboratively with Finance and Shared Services to identify risks, improve processes and ensure compliance with Department accounting policies and NSW Treasury requirements.
You will also lead the planning, coordination and control of month-end close and NSW Treasury reporting activities, using your financial accounting expertise to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective controls.
This is an opportunity to contribute your technical expertise in a role that combines financial accounting, governance, risk management, reporting and continuous improvement, while working with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Department.
