About the role

• Lead industrial strategy, give clear advice that aligns with government policy and Department priorities


• Negotiate awards and agreements; represent the Department in tribunals and resolve complex IR matters


• Draft industrial instruments, reports and briefs; ensure compliance with law and conditions of service

The Senior Industrial Officer is responsible for analysing, drafting, developing and monitoring industrial strategies and providing advice. The role will ensure that advice regarding industrial strategy and conditions of service reflects government policy and Departmental priorities.
