AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION: Yes\n\nRELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available\n\nCLEARANCE TYPE: AU- Secret (NV1)\n\nTRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time\n\n## Description\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager \u2013 Commercial Strategy \u0026 Capability to provide enterprise\u2011level commercial leadership across NGA\u2019s portfolio of programs and pursuits.\n\nThis is a senior, strategic role responsible for shaping commercial outcomes across the full lifecycle \u2013 from early opportunity and bid strategy through to contract execution and ongoing commercial management.\n\nYou will act as a trusted commercial advisor to executives and senior leaders, integrating inputs across Programs, Finance, Legal, Contracts and Supply Chain to deliver clear, aligned and commercially sound recommendations. A key focus of the role is uplifting commercial capability and maturity across the organisation.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n * Develop and deliver commercial strategies to support business cases, bids, proposals and major programs\n\n * Provide high\u2011quality commercial advice to senior leadership on risk, pricing, contracting and negotiation strategy\n\n * Identify, manage and escalate complex commercial risks and issues across opportunities and programs\n\n * Lead or support complex, high\u2011value commercial negotiations\n\n * Act as the central commercial integrator, ensuring alignment across functions and clear decision\u2011making\n\n * Drive initiatives to uplift commercial capability, including frameworks, tools and ways of working\n\n\n\n\n### \n\n### About You\n\nYou are a senior commercial leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and can operate confidently with executive stakeholders.\n\nYou will ideally bring:\n\n * Extensive experience in senior commercial, contracts, strategy or commercial leadership roles within defence or a comparable regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, infrastructure, energy, government or major projects)\n\n * Proven experience developing and executing commercial strategies for high\u2011value, long\u2011term programs\n\n * A strong track record in complex negotiations and commercial risk management\n\n * Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority\n\n * A passion for improving commercial capability and organisational maturity\n\n\n\n\nTertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business, economics or a related discipline are essential.\n\nExperience within the Australian defence industry and familiarity with Defence contracting frameworks (e.g. ASDEFCON) is highly regarded but not mandatory.\n\nWant to learn more about the role?
