Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Signalling Design Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Guarantee the delivery of the signalling HW design for projects, including documentation of design, on schedule and budget

• Ensure the setup of HW (including operating system installation, automated installation development, SW integration) and identifying and troubleshooting problems with both lab and production hardware

• Executing detailed hardware design, including documents and drawings as well as input to development, integration, testing, and maintenance

• Ensure the control of design documents in accordance with company processes

• Responsible for leading reviews to detect design errors and ensure correction

• Ensure the delivery of sub-systems or SW configurations for medium & small signalling project schemes including the production and check of the configuration documents

• Guarantee requirements, designing, and testing according to allocated project requirements

• Guarantee input data, the configuration documents and .exe files are issued and controlled in accordance with company processes

• Defining and executing the integration lab tests before handover of the executable files of the configured sub-systems

Skills & Experience:

• Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree

• More than 5 years of professional experience in Signalling HW design
