This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solution Architect in Australia.
This role sits at the heart of presales and delivery within a large-scale managed services environment, shaping how enterprise customers modernise and transform their IT ecosystems. You will design end-to-end solutions that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and security posture across complex environments. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will engage with a broad range of industries and organisation sizes, from mid-market to large enterprises. The role blends deep technical architecture with strong commercial acumen, including pricing and solution scoping. You will contribute directly to bids, statements of work, and strategic renewals. In addition, you will mentor other architects and engineers while collaborating across multiple internal teams and vendors. This is a high-impact position where your decisions influence both customer outcomes and business growth.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of managed services solutions across presales, bid responses, and project delivery, ensuring alignment with customer outcomes and commercial objectives.
- Develop high-quality statements of work, solution designs (HLDs), and pricing models for complex enterprise engagements.
- Support managed services renewals, providing technical and commercial input to retain and grow customer accounts.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to shape scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical escalation support to architects and engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across solution frameworks, methodologies, and service offerings.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in solution architecture, ideally within Microsoft, VMware, or enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven track record (5+ years) in presales, solution scoping, pricing, and managed services engagement delivery.
- Strong expertise across Microsoft ecosystem technologies including M365, Azure, identity (Entra ID), security, and collaboration tools.
- Solid understanding of cloud migrations (on-prem to cloud and cloud-to-cloud) and hybrid infrastructure architectures.
- Experience producing SOWs, SORs, HLDs, and commercial proposals for enterprise clients.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience balancing technical design and profitability considerations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills in complex environments.
- Must be an Australian citizen with eligibility for Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
