The IP & Security Technical Specialist / Senior Technical Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the performance, availability, and customer experience of the Optus Network. This is achieved through hands-on operational execution and the technical governance of suppliers, focusing on service assurance areas such as Change, Problem, and Incident Management.
The role is part of a Tier 2 Network Operations team based in the Optus Network Operations Centre in Macquarie Park and we are looking to fulfil roles that involve 24x7 as well as 9-5 rostered coverage.
In this position, the Specialist will deliver high-quality support, provide leadership to less experienced team members, and act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners. The role requires collaboration with Managed Service Suppliers, equipment vendors, and Network Engineering teams to support the successful rollout of new technologies, continuous service improvement initiatives, and alignment with Optus’ broader network strategy.
